[origin: WO9408082A1] An article of paper machine clothing for use in the pressing or drying section of a paper making machine has a sheet-contacting layer having a glazed surface. The glazing of the surface may be effected through the application of heat and/or pressure, and provides the paper machine clothing with an extremely smooth, and almost completely sealed, surface. The article may be used on the press section of a paper making machine adapted to carry out an impulse drying process.

Article d'habillage de machine à papier s'utilisant dans la partie de pressage ou de séchage d'une machine à fabriquer le papier et possédant une couche de contact avec la feuille comportant une surface glacée. Le glaçage de la surface peut s'effectuer par application de chaleur et/ou de pression et donne à l'habillage de la machine à papier une surface extrêmement lisse et presque entièrement étanche. On peut utiliser l'article sur la partie presse d'une machine à fabriquer le papier conçue pour exécuter un séchage par impulsions.
