The invention relates to a closure for single or multifilamentary composite billet, the billet consisting of a tubular body filled with metal filaments, each end of the tubular body being closed off by the said closure (11) which has two principal faces, a first principal face (13) closing the inside of the tubular body and a second principal face (12) opposite the first one, characterised in that each of the two principal faces is provided with a groove (15, 16) which is closed on itself, one of the grooves surrounding the other and the depth of the grooves being such that they overlap. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne une pièce de fermeture de billette composite mono- ou multifilamentaire, la billette étant constituée d'un corps tubulaire rempli de filaments métalliques, chaque extrémité du corps tubulaire étant obturée par ladite pièce de fermeture (11) qui présente deux faces principales, une première face principale (13) fermant l'intérieur du corps tubulaire et une deuxième face principale (12) opposée à la première, caractérisée en ce que chacune des deux faces principales est pourvue d'une rainure (15, 16) refermée sur elle-même, l'une des rainures entourant l'autre, la profondeur des rainures étant telle qu'elles se chevauchent. <IMAGE>
