In a lifting beam with two profiled rails (1) of identical design arranged in mirror image and connected to one another as well as elements (10, 12, 14) for hanging the beam on a lifting appliance or the like and for hanging a load on the beam, the cross-sectional profile of the profiled rails (1) consists of two hook-shaped sections arranged in mirror image relative to the longitudinal centre line. Bei einer Lasttraverse mit zwei gleich ausgebildeten, spiegelbildlich angeordneten und miteinander verbundenen Profilschienen (1) sowie Elementen (10, 12, 14) zum Anhängen der Traverse an ein Hebezeug oder dergleichen und zum Anhängen einer Last an die Traverse besteht das Querschnittsprofil der Profilschienen (1) aus zwei zur Längsmittellinie spiegelbildlich angeordneten, hakenförmigen Abschnitten. Ferner bilden die beiden Profilschienen (1) einen Hohlkasten, dessen Oberseite und Unterseite durch je zwei der gegeneinander weisenden Endbereiche der hakenförmigen Abschnitte des Querschnittsprofils gebildet sind. <IMAGE>
