Abstract (en)

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having on at least one side thereof a silver halide emulsion layer comprising a silver halide emulsion containing silver halide grains, which is prepared by a process comprising forming the silver halide emulsion by mixing a silver salt and a halide salt in a dispersing medium and subjecting the emulsion formed to chemical ripening, wherein said silver halide grains are selenium-sensitized by adding a selenium compound during a period of the course of forming the silver halide emulsion and chemical ripening thereof; said grains being spectrally sensitized with a spectral sensitizing dye represented by the following Formula (I) or Formula (II), <CHEM>
