[origin: EP0623405A1] The invention relates to a device for flanging cylindrical bodies (14) by rolling, having a plurality of flanging rollers (10) which are rotatably mounted in a holder (22), roll on the cylindrical shell to be formed of the body (14) and form the flange geometry by virtue of their shape. In order to avoid penetration of burr or material of the body (14) between a boundary ring and the flanging rollers (10) and to ensure that the flanging diameter is uniform, the proposal is to provide at least one boundary element (17), which projects inwards beyond the cylindrical envelope surface (25) around the longitudinal axis (23) of the device, said envelope surface (25) being formed by those parts (15) of the flanging rollers (10) which shape the flange geometry. <IMAGE>
