Bei einem Vormischbrenner für den Betrieb einer Brennkraftmaschine, einer Brennkammer einer Gasturbogruppe oder Feuerungsanlage, welcher für die Verbrennung von Brennstoffen mit stark unterschiedlichen Eigenschaften eingesetzt werden kann, ist nach einem Drallerzeuger (1), einem konvergenten Teil (2) und einer Engstelle (3) für die Zugabe des Brennstoffes (9) ein Diffusor (4) angeordnet, wobei der konvergente Teil (2), die Engstelle (3) und der Diffusor (4) rotationssymmetrisch ausgebildet sind und der Querschnittsverlauf so angepasst ist, dass keine Strömungsablösung an der Wand möglich ist. <IMAGE>
