[origin: GB2273340A] A boiler or steam boiler 2 comprises a furnace tube 10 having an entrance 32 which contains a gas burner 68 and also receives the hot exhaust gases from a small gas turbine 34 mounted on the boiler and giving an output, on a power take off shaft 58 from a power turbine 56, of 0.5 MW or less which drives an electrical power generator 60. Hot heating gases from the gas turbine 34 and/or the burner 68 pass directly along the furnace tube 10 and then through a first group of pass tubes 16 and finally through a second group of pass tubes 22 to an enclosure 26 comprising a flue 30. A driven fan 72 acts to draw the heating gases through the boiler and promotes a good flow of those gases.

Un générateur à vapeur à enveloppe (2) comprend un tube de four (10) ayant une entrée (32) qui contient un brûleur à gaz (68) et qui reçoit également les gaz d'échappement chauds d'une petite turbine à gaz (34) qui a une sortie sur un arbre de puissance (58) d'une turbine (56) de 0,5 MW ou moins qui entraîne un générateur de courant (60). Les gaz de chauffage chauds de la turbine à gaz (34) et/ou du brûleur (68) descendent dans le tube du four (10) et passent ensuite par un premier groupe de tubes de passage (16) et finalement par un second groupe de tubes de passage (22) vers une enveloppe (26) comprenant une évacuation (30). Un ventilateur entraîné (72) dans un carter (26) agit pour extraire les gaz de chauffage à travers la chaudière et assure une bonne circulation de ces gaz.
