[origin: WO9317167A1] In an apparatus for continuously decatizing a fabric (4) on a cylinder (1) at a temperature at least sufficient to avoid condensation, wherein the damp or wet fabric is sandwich-like compressed between said cylinder and a continuous, water-tight carrier web (2), possibly rigid, a high mechanical pressure is applied which is obtained by means of rotatable cylinder (6) having the rotation axis parallel to the central cylinder axis and being strongly pressing against the latter said carrier web while squeezing at the same time the intermediate cloth web. Thus is also obtained a steam sealing action for the completion of which also two rubberized gaskets are preferably provided at both sides of the hot cylinder. The pressure cylinders, except for the first one met by the web, are heated at a high vaporization temperature (160-180 DEG C) if the central hot cylinder is at only about 100 DEG C.

Appareil de décatissage en continu d'un tissu (4) sur un cylindre (1) à une température au moins suffisante pour éviter la condensation, dans lequel le tissu humide ou mouillé est pris en sandwich entre ledit cylindre et une bande porteuse (2) étanche à l'eau et éventuellement rigide, et on applique une pression mécanique élevée obtenue à l'aide de deux cylindres rotatifs (6) dont les axes de rotation sont parallèles à l'axe du cylindre central, et qui serrent fortement contre ce dernier ladite bande porteuse tout en serrant simultanément la bande intermédiaire de tissu. On assure l'étanchéité à la vapeur à l'aide de deux joints en caoutchouc prévus de préférence des deux côtés du cylindre chauffé. Les cylindres de serrage, à l'exception du premier entrant en contact avec la bande, sont chauffés jusqu'à une température élevée de vaporisation (de 160 à 180 °C) lorsque le cylindre central n'est chauffé que jusqu'à 100 °C environ.
