[origin: EP0530651A1] The best-known types of packages for cigarettes, namely a flip-top box and a crush pack, each have advantages and disadvantages. The present package consists in the upper part (upper part 15) of a flip-top box and, in the lower region (lower part 16), of a crush pack. As a result, the package can be used as a flip-top box, but requires less use of material. This type of package can also be fitted with a collar which is connected integrally to a blank for the upper part (15) constructed as a flip-top box.
