[origin: EP0628673A1] A shuttering block exhibits two longitudinal walls, forming an outer wall (1) and an inner wall (2), at least two transverse walls (3), extending only over part of the height of the block, a cavity (8), located between the walls and intended for filling with concrete, and an insulating insert (6) arranged on the inner side of at least one of the two longitudinal walls. In relation to the lateral end sides of the block, the transverse walls (3) are offset inwards, as a result of which, in the known manner, the shuttering block is formed at least approximately in the form of an H. In each case one further insulating insert (7) is pushed over the transverse walls (3), said insert enclosing the transverse walls (3) in each case laterally and in the region of their reduced height. <IMAGE>
