[origin: EP0628680A1] The latch has a cover-plate fixed to the door etc., and which has top and bottom parts with a bore through them. The bottom part contains a guide bush in which the latch guide turns, this being secured by a circlip engaging in a peripheral groove. On the end (3) of the bush (2) protruding from the bottom part (1) is a covering rosette (4). The latter can have a locking bead (5) on the inside and engaging in a groove (6) in the outside of the bush, and it can also have an external protruding edge (7). The rosette can be of plastic, high-grade steel, or non-ferrous metal such as brass or bronze. Its other edge (13) can have a spring effect, being inclined to the axis of the catch neck (9).
