Abstract (en)
Metal halide discharge lamps are coated on the external surface of the discharge vessel (2) with oxides of titanium or cerium (9). The temperature of the layer, during operation of the lamp, is at least 600@C, its layer weight typically being 0.30 mg/cm<2>. Coating is carried out as an intermediate step during the manufacture of the discharge vessel. <IMAGE>

Metallhalogenidentladungslampen sind an der Außenoberfläche des Entladungsgefäßes (2) mit Oxiden des Titans oder Cers beschichtet (9). Die Temperatur der Schicht beträgt im Betrieb der Lampe mindestens 600°C, ihr Schichtgewicht typisch 0,30 mg/cm². Die Beschichtung (9) erfolgt als Zwischenschritt bei der Herstellung des Entladungsgefäßes (2). <IMAGE>
