[origin: WO9315988A1] Machines for winding webs of paper or cardboard (1) exist which have a longitudinal cutting device (6) for dividing the web (1) into strips and a driven support roller (5) which turns the wind-on rollers (3, 16) during the winding process. In order to improve the quality of winding of the edge rolls (16), the invention calls for at least one additional drive (17, 18) for the edge rolls (16) to be located on each side of the winding machine, the additional drive consisting of a roller (19, 20) or belt, fitted with its own rotational-drive unit, which presses elastically, approximately in the radial direction with respect to the support roller (5), against the edge roll concerned (16), the rotational axis of the drive roller (19, 20) or belt being parallel to the axis of the support roller (5).

En ce qui concerne l'enroulement de bandes de papier ou de carton (1), on connaît les enrouleuses qui comportent un découpeur en sens machine (6) pour partager la bande (1) en nappes individuelles, ainsi qu'un cylindre de soutien ou un cylindre porteur (5) entraîné, qui fait tourner les rouleaux récepteurs (3, 16) adjacents pendant l'enroulage. Afin de pouvoir enrouler les rouleaux marginaux avec une meilleure qualité, il est prévu selon l'invention de disposer sur chacun des grands côtés de l'enrouleuse au moins une commande (17, 18) supplémentaire pour les rouleaux marginaux, consistant en un cylindre (19, 20) ou une bande munis respectivement de leur propre système d'enraînement rotatif et qui peuvent être serrés à peu près radialement par rapport au cylindre de soutien ou au cylindre porteur (5) de manière à faire ressort, contre chaque rouleau marginal (16), l'axe de rotation du cylindre ou de la bande étant parallèle à l'axe du cylindre de soutien ou du cylindre porteur (5).
