[origin: WO9318340A1] A steam generator has a flue gas channel with several sections (3, 4, 5). A first vertical section (3) is linked to an equally vertical third section (5) by a second section (4) that extends at least approximately in the horizontal direction. In order to prevent the flue gas channel from being obstructed or distorted by thermal expansion, the first section (3) is suspended in the support structure (1) by support elements (16, 19) which adopt an inclined position (16', 19') with respect to the vertical in their cold state and which extend parallel to the vertical in their hot state. The flue gas channel remains thus a structural unit whatever its operational state, allowing free thermal expansion both in the vertical and in the horizontal directions.
