Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH078252A] PURPOSE: To provide an economical processing method by which a useful filter material is technically simply recovered in the form of an acetic cellulose. CONSTITUTION: In this method for processing the waste of a filter rod and a cigarette with filter including filter material having a hollow part inside which can be accessed from an outside and at least one kind of other material components, especially including paper and tabacco, the waste is distributed in a liquid a pressure container, and inactivated gas is dissolved in the liquid by lowering pressure of raising temp. Then, fine air foams are generated in the filter material by raising temp. or lowering pressure, then the filter material is floated so as to be separation from other material components. Separation to the independent components of waste is enabled so that the usable filter material is obtained as the acetic cellulose high in refining degree and can be reused in the production of the filter material.
