[origin: WO9320315A1] The invention concerns a bolt lock, in particular one for control-cabinet doors or similar doors or flaps, the lock comprising a flat-bar bolt which is mounted to move parallel to the edge of the door, preferably within the arc of swing of the door, and which has at least one locking section. The lock further comprises a bolt holder, mounted on the doorframe and designed to receive and hold the locking section of the bolt. Also included is a bolt actuator designed to move the bolt longitudinally between an open position and a locked position. The aim of the invention is to provide a more secure lock which cannot become stuck. To this end, the invention calls for the flat-bar bolt (10) to be twisted about its longitudinal axis over at least one part (11) of its length in order to form the locking section, the bolt being twisted in such a way that the bolt surface in the twisted section (11) is at an angle to the orientation of the bolt (10) and so that a lug (16) in the bolt holder (14) extends out over the locking section at the same angle to the bolt (10), thus acting as a locking surface (13).
