Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a vehicle for transporting motor vehicles comprising two superposed platforms (2, 3) termed lower platform (2) and upper platform (3), a hood with a transverse section substantially in the shape of an inverted U covering substantially the whole of the lateral sides of the vehicle and means for operating the hood with a view to raising it through a predetermined height relative to a reference plane. It is characterised in that, on the one hand, the hood is of a single piece and, on the other hand, in that the means for operating the hood comprise: . means for moving (7a) and guiding (7b) the sides of the hood in terms of translation in a direction substantially perpendicular to the reference frame, . means for synchronising the means for moving the sides of the hood to be raised. <IMAGE>
