[origin: DE4321770C1] An axial-piston machine is described in which the cylindrical drum is supported, by an end face, on a cam body containing the suction and discharge cam slots. In this arrangement, at least one of the end faces of the cam body and the corresponding counter faces on the cylindrical drum or the casing are of spherical shape, and the cam body is provided with a centring piston device which laterally braces the cam body against the casing. To this end, the centring piston device (10) comprises at least one centring piston (31) which engages in the edge region of the cam body (9) perpendicular to a sectional plane (E) running in the axial direction. In addition, the cam body (9) is retained rotatably at the casing (1, 4) on that side of the axis of rotation (6) which faces away from the centring piston (31), and is guided along a guide (12) which runs radially in the sectional plane (E). <IMAGE>
