[origin: DE4209520C1] A device for detachably fixing a fixing drum (11) on a bearing flange (14, 16) in the fixing unit of an electrophotographic printing or photocopying machine comprises: a conical expansion element (31) allocated to the bearing flange (14, 16), an elastic receiving sleeve (32) with an opposing inner cone (33) which encloses the expansion element (31) like a collet chuck, and an outer support surface (34) for the receiving sleeve (32) at an inner radius of the fixing drum (11). To fix the fixing drum (11) on the bearing clamp (14, 16), the expansion element (31) opens out the receiving sleeve (32) and forces it against the inner radius of the fixing drum (11). The device facilitates the opening and closing of the connection between the bearing clamp and the fixing drum, even when the temperatures of the bearing clamp and fixing drum differ.
