[origin: WO9320571A1] The vacuum switch described has a vacuum tube (10) operated by means of a lever assembly via an actuator. A two-arm actuator lever (51) is mounted to pivot on a displaceable connector bolt (15) on the tube (10) and operates in conjunction with a stop surface (57) against which the actuator lever (51) can be placed by means of a contact spring (43). A flexible, loop-shaped strip conductor (17) is used to neutralize lifting forces which tend to break the contact, the strip conductor (17) being disposed between the arms (52) of the actuator lever (51) in such a way that one arm (16) of the strip conductor contacts the central section (53) of the actuator lever while the other arm (18) is fixed rigidly in place. The current-loop/lever assembly described is suitable for use in the construction of compact power switches.
