Described is a low flammability (flame retardant) pillow (1) comprising a cushioning core (2) and a cover (5) separable therefrom, wherein the cushioning core (2) comprises a binder-consolidated nonwoven-block from 5 to 15 cm in thickness and from 700 to 3000 g/m<2> in basis weight comprising fibres or filaments having a linear density from 3 to 30 dtex and the cover (5) is a pocket-shaped, closable casing comprising a textile sheet material comprising or consisting of woven or knitted fabric, the fibres and filaments of the cushioning core (2) and of the casing (5) comprising flame resistant polyester. <IMAGE>

Beschrieben wird ein schwer entflammbares Kissen (1) bestehend aus einem Polsterkern (2) und einem vom Polsterkern trennbaren Überzug (5), dessen Polsterkern (2) aus einem binderverfestigten Vliesstoff-Block von 5 bis 15 cm Dicke und einem Flächengewicht von 700 bis 3000 g/m² aus Fasern oder Filamenten mit einem Titer von 3 bis 30 dtex besteht und dessen Überzug (5) eine taschenförmige, verschließbare Hülle ist aus einem textilen Flächengebilde, das ein Gewebe oder eine Maschenware enthält oder daraus besteht, wobei die Fasern und Filamente des Polsterkerns (2) und der Hülle (5) aus flammfest modifiziertem Polyester bestehen. <IMAGE>
