[origin: DE4420560A1] The invention relates to a mobile traffic monitoring system with a device for monitoring traffic events by means of visual devices in a vehicle, a picture being triggered by an operational element of the vehicle. The invention is composed of three components which are connected to one another operationally, namely with a picture detection system in the vehicle, a vehicle data and operation memory (status data memory) and sensors for sensing the traffic situation. An exemplary embodiment using by way of an example a public local-transport bus is described and explained. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein mobiles Verkehrsüberwachungssystem mit einer Einrichtung zur Überwachung von Verkehrsabläufen mittels optischer Geräte im Fahrzeug, wobei eine Bildauslösung durch ein Funktionselement des Fahrzeugs erfolgt. Das System setzt sich aus drei miteinander funktionsmäßig verbundenen Komponenten zusammen, nämlich aus einem Bilderfassungssystem im Fahrzeug, einem Fahrzeugsdaten- und Funktionsspeicher (Statusdatenspeicher) und Sensoren zur Erfassung der Verkehrsscene. Am Beispiel eines öffentlichen Personen-Nahverkehrsbus ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel beschrieben und erläutert. <IMAGE>
