Verfahren zum Behandeln von menschlichem Kopfhaar (19) mittels einer Flüssigkeit, wobei eine um den Kopf (6) verlaufende Dichteinrichtung (2) mit einer gummiartigen Dichtung (4) einer Behandlungsvorrichtung (1) ein unkontrolliertes Abfließen der Flüssigkeit von dem Kopfhaar (19) in den Gesichts- und Halsbereich verhindert, wobei erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen ist, daß zum Ansetzen der Dichtung (4) an den Kopf (6) die Dichtung (4) zunächst durch Strecken erweitert und dann zumindest zum Teil entlastet wird, und daß zum Absetzen der Dichtung (4) vom Kopf (6) die Dichtung (4) zunächst durch Strecken erweitert und dann entlastet wird. Als Vorrichtung (1) zum Behandeln von menschlichem Kopfhaar (19) mittels einer Flüssigkeit, wobei eine um den Kopf (6) verlaufende Dichteinrichtung (2) mit einer gummiartigen Dichtung (4) ein unkontrolliertes Abfließen der Flüssigkeit von dem Kopfhaar (19) in den Gesichts- und Halsbereich verhindert, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß die Dichtung (4) in einem Rahmen (7) für Streckbewegungen aufgenommen und mit einer Streckeinrichtung (5, 5.1) versehen ist. <IMAGE>
