Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9320773A1] A composite dental implant for placing and holding a prosthesis (19) on a bone site. Said implant includes a main body (7) having a shank (5) which is radially expandable by means of longitudinal slots so that it can be engaged and secured in an implanted root (1). A pressure member (17) and a guiding assembly are provided in the shank to lock said shank into the root. Said implant may thus be accurately and firmly fixed in said implanted root (1) and readily withdrawn if required.
