The unit consists of a fixed structure (11), a crimping block (12) itself containing a jaw support (26), several jaws (27a,27b) and a displacement jack (13) for operating the jaws. The jack (13) is made up of a tubular body (18) and a piston (16) fixed to the piston rod (15) which in turn is fixed to the structure (11). The crimping block (12) is attached in a manner detachable on the rod (15) by a sleeve nut (20). The actuating collar (14) of the jaws (27a,27b) is fixed in a detachable way to the end of the jack body (18). A force transducer (40) is inserted between the crimping block (12) and the piston rod (15) and a displacement transducer (43) is placed on the fixed structure (11).

Le dispositif comporte un bâti fixe (11), un bloc de sertissage (12) comportant lui-même un support de mors (26), au moins deux mors (27a, 27b) et un vérin (13) de déplacement des mors (27a, 27b). Le vérin (13) comporte un corps de vérin (18) de forme tubulaire mobile et un piston (16) solidaire d'une tige de vérin (15) fixée sur le bâti (11). Le bloc de sertissage (12) est fixé de manière amovible sur la tige de vérin (15) par un manchon écrou (20). Un moyen d'actionnement (14) des mors (27a, 27b) est fixé de manière amovible à une extrémité du corps de vérin (18). Un capteur d'efforts (40) est intercalé entre le bloc de sertissage (12) et la tige de vérin (15) et un capteur de déplacement (43) est disposé sur le bâti fixe (11). Le dispositif selon l'invention peut être utilisé notamment pour réaliser la fixation de bagues métalliques de jonction, à l'extrémité d'un conduit souple pour véhicule automobile. <IMAGE>
