Abstract (en)
[origin: DE4326033C1] The pressing tool consists of a first, preferably lower, tool part (10) and second tool part (30) which is arranged preferably at the top in a press. Main components of the first tool part (10) are a top-die carrier (12), a top die (14) fastened thereon and a father diaphragm (20), top-die carrier (12) and top die (14) have ducts (16) for introducing a fluid under pressure between top die (14) and father diaphragm (20), the second tool part (30) has a bottom die (40) which is lined with a mother diaphragm (70) and is surrounded by an annular guide body (32). In this, the bottom die (40) can be moved, when the pressing tool is closed, between a pressing position, in which the bottom die (40) supports the mother diaphragm (70) over its entire surface, and a relief position, in which it allows the mother diaphragm (70) to expand in the radial direction. The mother diaphragm (70) is, in the pressing position of the bottom die (40), compressed radially by the latter and, in the relief position, relaxed. The guide body (32) has an inner wall (34) which widens conically in the direction away from the first tool part (10), and the bottom die (40) has an outer wall (42) complementary thereto and is divided into a number of sectors (48) which can be moved away from one another radially. The pressed hollow body (82) is thus released so far that it cannot get jammed. As a result of this, especially steep-faced and thin-walled hollow bodies (32) can ...
