Le dispositif comporte un dispositif (4) d'alimentation en manchons disposé au-dessus et à la verticale du convoyeur (2) et un dispositif d'étirage comportant deux paires d'étireurs (6) mobiles horizontalement et disposés en oblique par rapport à la direction de convoyage des emballages par le convoyeur, chaque paire d'étireurs étant disposée de part et d'autre du chemin de convoyage et étant mobiles verticalement entre le convoyeur et le dispositif d'alimentation pour la préhension d'un manchon et sa mise en place sur un emballage. <IMAGE>
