Die Erfindung betrifft ein Schmuckelement (1) für streifenförmig ausgebildete Bänder (33), wie beispielsweise Armbänder, Halsbänder, Uhrenarmbänder aus Leder, Kunstleder, edlen oder unedlen Metallen oder dergleichen mit einem im wesentlichen im Querschnitt rechteckförmig ausgebildeten Hohlprofil, welches zwei Schenkel (2, 3) und zwei Stege (4, 5) aufweist, die vorzugsweise rechtwinklig zueinander angeordnet sind, und welches an dem streifenförmig ausgebildeten Band (33) befestigbar ist. Ein derartiges Schmuckelement (1) wird in einfacher Weise und kostengünstig herstellbar, sowohl an Endlosbänder als auch an Bändern (33) befestigbar, die an zumindest einer Stelle geöffnet werden können und bietet einen sicheren Halt an streifenförmig ausgebildeten Band (33), ohne entlang des Bandes (33) zu verrutschen, wenn ein Schenkel (3) um eine Drehachse (8) schwenkbeweglich an dem ersten Steg (4) befestigt ist und der Schenkel (3) am gegenüberliegenden ersten Steg (5) in geschlossenem Zustand anliegt. <IMAGE>
