[origin: EP0339495A2] The invention relates to a method for profile extruding or tube extruding a mixture of plant particles, especially wood particles, with binding agents, wherein the mixture is compressed by the profile-extrusion pressing ram in a filling space and is consolidated in the curing channel. The filled material is forced through a filling and pressing space, this space widening in the form of a wedge towards the curing channel so that the filled material is subjected to equal compression in the pressing direction. As a result of this equal compression in the length of each extrusion produced by the pressing stroke, the pressure acting on the boundary walls of the filling and pressing space when the final compression of the extrusion is reached is approximately equal over the length.
