[origin: CH681209A5] A steam cleaner is disclosed for cleaning windows, floors, furniture surfaces and the like by means of superheated steam. The essential components of the appliance are a container (4) for the cleaning liquid and a duct (3), as well as a feeding device (3a) and a steam-generating device (2). The superheated steam is generated directly at the surface to be cleaned, as the cleaning liquid in the steam-generating device (2) is sprayed on the heated surface (8). The central vaporizing direction lies at an angle of at least 90 DEG to the direction of the steam coming out of the steam-generating chamber (14).
