[origin: EP0639846A1] The invention relates to a switch spindle for an installation switch (service switch), having a spindle body which is mounted such that it can rotate and consists of insulating material and having contact levers which are mounted therein and have moving contact pieces fitted to their ends, a contact compression spring being provided within the switch spindle for each contact lever, metal supporting elements (31) being provided in, and latched into, compartments (11 to 14) which are separated from one another in the spindle body by means of intermediate walls (15 to 20;24,25) and in which supporting elements (31) the contact levers (50) are mounted such that they can rotate, and the contact compression spring (61) being arranged between the contact lever and the supporting element. <IMAGE>
