A seat for a standing support or a chair having the following characteristics: the seat support has an upper face; a hole is provided approximately in the centre of the upper face; at least two inwardly curved grooves are provided in the upper face at a regular distance around the hole; the grooves have a deepening in their centre and from there rise uniformly on both sides; the seat body carries a seat panel at its lower side; a threaded rod extends downwards from the seat panel through the hole in the upper face of the seat support; similarly curved grooves with deepenings and rising flanks, corresponding to the grooves of the upper face of the seat support, are provided in the bottom of the seat panel; balls are arranged captively between the grooves of the upper face of the seat support and the grooves of the seat panel; the threaded rod below the upper face of the seat support extends downwards through at least one disc, a thrust ball bearing, a further disc, a resilient element, a further disc, and is fixed there by a nut. <IMAGE>

Sitz für eine Stehhilfe oder einen Stuhl mit den Kennzeichen, daß der Sitzträger (8) eine obere Fläche (52) aufweist, daß in der oberen Fläche (52) in etwa der Mitte eine Bohrung (28) angeordnet ist, daß in der oberen Fläche (52) um die Bohrung (28) herum in regelmäßigem Abstand mindestens zwei nach innen gekrümmte Nuten (29) angeordnet sind, daß die Nuten (29) in ihrer Mitte eine Vertiefung (41) aufweisen und von dort nach beiden Seiten gleichmäßig ansteigen, daß der Sitzkörper (5) an seiner unteren Seite eine Sitzplatte (30) trägt, daß sich von der Sitzplatte (30) eine Gewindestange (34) nach unten durch die Bohrung (28) der oberen Fläche (52) des Sitzträgers (8) erstreckt, daß unten in der Sitzplatte (30) entsprechend der Nuten (29) der oberen Fläche (52) des Sitzträgers (8) ebenfalls gekrümmte Nuten (32) mit Vertiefungen (53) und ansteigenden Flanken angeordnet sind, daß zwischen den Nuten (29) der oberen Fläche (52) des Sitzträgers (8) und den Nuten (32) der Sitzplatte (30) unverlierbar Kugeln (33) angeordnet sind, daß die Gewindestange (34) unterhalb der oberen Fläche (52) des Sitzträgers (8) sich durch mindestens eine Scheibe (35), ein Axial-Kugellager (36), eine weitere Scheibe (37), ein elastisches Element (38), eine weitere Scheibe (39) nach unten erstreckt und dort mit einer Mutter (40) befestigt ist. <IMAGE>
