The invention describes a manhole cover which consists of a manhole lid and a frame. The frame has a continuously encircling bearing surface for the manhole lid and below this bearing surface a bearing plane for accommodating a dirt trap. A continuously encircling groove for accommodating a damping insert and/or a continuously encircling recess for accommodating a sealing ring is put into the bearing surface for the manhole lid. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung beschreibt eine Schachtabdeckung, welche aus einem Schachtdeckel (1) und einem Rahmen (2) besteht. Der Rahmen (2) weist eine durchgehend umlaufende Auflagefläche (3) für den Schachtdeckel (1) und unterhalb dieser Auflagefläche (3) eine Auflageebene zur Aufnahme eines Schmutzfängers auf. In die Auflagefläche (7) für den Schachtdeckel (1) ist eine durchgehend umlaufende Nut (4) zur Aufnahme einer dämpfenden Einlage und/oder eine durchgehend umlaufende Vertiefung (6) zur Aufnahme eines Dichtungsringes eingebracht. <IMAGE>
