In a method for manufacturing a base anode (10), having a plurality of metal elements (11) arranged adjacently, for a metallurgical vessel (1), the interspaces (14) between the metal elements (11) are filled with refractory (fireproof) composition (compound) (16). The refractory composition (16) is compressed (compacted). In order to achieve a high degree of compression in a short time interval, the compression of the refractory composition (16) is performed by vibration (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verfahren zum Herstellen einer eine Mehrzahl benachbart angeordneter Metallelemente (11) aufweisenden Bodenanode (10) für ein metallurgisches Gefäß (1) werden die Zwischenräume (14) zwischen den Metallelementen (11) mit feuerfester Masse (16) ausgefüllt, wobei die feuerfeste Masse (16) verdichtet wird. Zur Erzielung eines hohen Verdichuntsgrades in einem kurzen Zeitintervall erfolgt das Verdichten der feuerfesten Masse (16) durch Vibrieren (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
