[origin: US5570790A] A strainer comprises a housing. A main screen is disposed within the housing. The fore screen is disposed within the housing and includes a first section and a second section. A main beater is connected to the second section of the fore screen. The fore screen and the main beater are moveable with respect to the main screen. An auxiliary beater is connected to the second section of the fore screen. The auxiliary beater is moveable with respect to the first section of the fore screen.
