[origin: EP0644272A2] The invention relates to a process for producing tubes of copper or copper alloy by cold pilger rolling, the cyclically nonuniform feed/exit speed of the rolled tube being converted in a buffer zone to a constant delivery speed. After being subjected to cold pilger rolling, the tube, which is held against torsion and delivered at constant speed, is subjected to on-line recrystallisation annealing. <IMAGE>
