The sitting and/or sleeping furniture, in particular sofa and upholstered bed, has a back (3) which is attached to the underframe (2) and which comprises a substructure of upright wooden or laminate strips (5) held at a distance one beside the other. The strips (5) are fastened by way of their lower end region to the underframe (1, 2) by nails or staples or by plug-in connection (7, 8). Das Sitz- und/oder Liegemöbel, insbesondere Sofa und Polsterbett, zeigt eine am Untergestell (2) angebrachte Rückenlehne (3), welche einen Unterbau aus aufrechten, im Abstand nebeneinander gehaltene Federleisten (5) aus Holz oder Laminat aufweist. Die Federleisten (5) sind mit ihrem unteren Endbereich durch Nageln oder Klammern oder durch Steckverbindung (7, 8) am Untergestell (1, 2) festgelegt. Die Federleisten (5) werden durch mindestens einen Spanngurt (6) aus flexiblem und/oder elastischem Werkstoff, wie Textil, gummi- oder kunststoffgetränktem Textil, Kunststoff, od. dgl., im oberen Leistenbereich miteinander verbunden. <IMAGE>
