Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a device for operating and tensioning a flexible protective element (2), such as a band (3), a curtain or a shutter, comprising a winding control shaft (5) and an unwinding control shaft (6) which are driven by means of a motor (12, 13) fitted with a brake (14, 15) which is activated so as to stop braking when one of these motors (12, 13) is switched on. With a view to ensuring that this flexible protective element is kept taut between the winding control shaft (5) and the unwinding control shaft (6), this operating and tensioning device comprises means (16) for controlling the power supplied to the motors (12, 13) so that a torque is generated by one of these motors (12, 13), which torque resists the operation of the other motor (13, 12) respectively, during the stage in which the flexible protective element (2) is being unwound or wound up, respectively. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'entraînement et de mise sous tension d'un élément souple de protection (2), tel qu'une bande (3), un rideau ou un tablier, comprenant un arbre de commande d'enroulement (5) et un arbre de commande de déroulement (6) lesquels sont entraînés au moyen d'un moteur (12, 13) équipé d'un frein (14, 15) activé pour ne plus freiner lorsque l'un de ces moteurs (12, 13) est alimenté. En vue de garantir le maintien en tension de cet élément souple de protection entre l'arbre de commande d'enroulement (5) et l'arbre de commande de déroulement (6), ce dispositif d'entraînement et de mise sous tension comporte des moyens de gestion (16) de l'alimentation des moteurs (12, 13) de sorte que, précisément, l'on génère, au moyen de l'un de ces moteurs (12, 13), un couple résistant à l'égard du fonctionnement de l'autre moteur, respectivement (13, 12) lorsqu'on est en phase de déroulement, respectivement, d'enroulement de l'élément souple de protection (2). <IMAGE>
