Abstract (en)
A reference voltage generation circuit is provided, including first and second NPN type bipolar transistors (11, 12), each, having a collector, emitter and a base, the collectors of these bipolar transistors being connected to a power supply potential and the bases of the bipolar transistors being commonly connected together, and a differential-input amplifier (16) having an output terminal connected to that common base node of the bipolar transistors. A series circuit of first and second resistors (13, 14) is connected between a non-inverting input terminal of the amplifier and a ground potential and a third resistor (15) is connected between an inverting input terminal of the differential-input amplifier (16) and the ground potential. A starting circuit (30) has an output node connected to a connection node of the first and second resistors and generates a potential close to a power supply potential after a power supply is turned ON. <IMAGE>
