[origin: DE4334615C1] The invention relates to an electrical plug connector (25) for communications and data technology having RJ contacts and insulation piercing terminal contacts (81) which are arranged in the housing and are connected to one another via contact strips (93). In order to create a plug connector having an integrated screen for RF cables (94), a screen contact (1) is provided which can be clamped onto the plug connector (25). The cable screen of the RF cable (94) is conductively connected to the screen contact (1) by means of a crimped connection between the cable screen (95) and a lip (2) of the screen contact. The cable screen (95) of the RF cable (94) is connected or passed on to earth potential via a wire earth contact (5) riding alongside, which is conductively connected to the screen contact (1). <IMAGE>
