[origin: WO9401482A1] The invention concerns a polyester resin for the production of thick-walled bottles of high transparency and neutral colour. This polyester resin, which contains at least one antimony compound, one germanium compound and one phosphorous compound, is produced by reacting a dicarboxylic acid with polyhydric alcohols. It also contains cyclohexanedimethanol. As the polyhydric alcohols, a mixture of ethylene glycol and at least 0.5 % of cyclohexanedimethanol is used. This gives, in particular, a low crystallization rate, permitting the manufacture of thick-walled hollow articles.
