[origin: US5524345A] The invention is directed to a dry shaving apparatus with at least one short-hair cutter disposed on a housing and an actuating switch for turning an electric drive mechanism on and off as well as for adjusting a switch slide provided with a long-hair trimmer by means of a transmission device, wherein the transmission device is comprised of two pivotally mounted transmission elements, the first transmission element is pivotally mounted on the actuating switch and acted upon by a spring element, the second transmission element which is provided with notches and a control cam is pivotally mounted on the housing, is coupled to the switch slide through a control element engaging the control cam as well as a spring element, and is actuatable by the first transmission element through a detent element.

Trockenrasierapparat mit wenigstens einem an einem Gehäuse (1) angeordneten Kurzhaarschneidsystem (K) und mit einem Betätigungsschalter (30) zum Ein- und Ausschalten eines elektrischen Antriebes sowie zur Verstellung eines mit einem Langhaarschneidsystem (L) ausgestatteten Schaltschiebers (2) über eine Getriebeeinrichtung, wobei die Getriebeeinrichtung von zwei schwenkbar gelagerten Getriebeelementen (6,7) gebildet ist, das erste Getriebeelement (6) am Betätigungsschalter (30) schwenkbar gelagert und von einem Federelement (16) beaufschlagt ist, das mit Raststellungen (24,25,26) und mit einer Steuerkurve (12) versehene zweite Getriebeelement (7) am Gehäuse (1) schwenkbar gelagert und mit dem Schaltschieber (2) über ein in die Steuerkurve (12) eingreifendes Steuerelement (13) sowie einem Federelement (19) gekoppelt und von dem ersten Getriebeelement (6) über ein Rastelement (14) betätigbar ist. <IMAGE>
