[origin: GB2268805A] Probe e.g. for sampling exhaust gas from internal combustion engines has a sampling tube (11) having an inlet (12) at one end for receiving the gaseous products. The tube is pivoted (21) to an arm (17) at an outer end of the arm so that the sampling tube can move relative to the arm and be manipulated into a gas outlet tube (30). The arm may be clamped to the gas outlet tube by a clamping arrangement (28,29) operated from the end of the arm. <IMAGE>
