In a rotary piston engine with a hollow-cylindrical casing, a rotor which is arranged centrally and rotatably in the casing, an annular chamber, shut-off members, an inlet for fresh gases and an outlet for combustion gases, and a piston connected to the rotor, the piston is mounted in the rotor in a manner which allows it to pivot about a pivoting axis between a closed position and an open position, and the pivoting axis of the piston is aligned parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotor. <IMAGE>

In einem Rotationskolben-Verbrennungsmotor mit einem hohlzylindrischen Gehäuse, einem in dem Gehäuse zentrisch sowie drehbar angeordneten Rotor, einer ringförmigen Kammer, Absperrorganen, einem Einlaß für Frischgase und einem Auslaß für Verbrennungsgase sowie einem mit dem Rotor verbundenen Kolben ist der Kolben zwischen einer Schließstellung und einer Offenstellung um eine Drehachse schwenkbar im Rotor gelagert und die Drehachse des Kolbens ist parallel zur Drehachse des Rotors ausgerichtet. <IMAGE>
