Device for supplying and monitoring an electric fence, including a means linked to an energy source (2) generating high-voltage pulses, a system for digitising an electrical quantity and a display device (14), and an alarm circuit (16). The digitising system includes a microprogrammed integrated electronic digitising circuit (12) which, by means of software, analyses the state of the fence line (3) and/or its level of insulation on the basis of data relating to the pulses sent into the fence line and/or data relating to the return pulses sent by a responder (5), sends the results of its analyses to the display device (14), and passes information to the alarm circuit (16) over a data transmission channel (17) including electrical insulation (18). <IMAGE>

Dispositif d'alimentation et de surveillance d'une clôture électrique, comportant un moyen relié à une source d'énergie (2) générant des impulsions de haute tension, un système de numérisation d'une grandeur électrique et un dispositif d'affichage (14), et un circuit d'alarme (16). Le système de numérisation comporte un circuit de numérisation (12) intégré électronique microprogrammé qui au moyen d'un logiciel, analyse l'état de la ligne de clôture (3) et/ou son degré d'isolement à partir des données relatives aux impulsions envoyées dans la ligne de clôture et/ou des données relatives aux impulsions de retour envoyées par un répondeur (5), envoie les résultats de ses analyses au dispositif d'affichage (14), et transmet des informations au circuit d'alarme (16) par une voie (17) de transmission de données comportant une isolation électrique (18). <IMAGE>
