The subject of the present invention is a process for producing decorative and/or protective coatings, in which the substrate to be coated is partially coated with a coating agent and another surface layer is applied to the uncoated parts of the substrate. The process is characterised in that a metal sheet whose layer thickness lies between 0.1 times and 5 times the layer thickness of the coating is used for the other surface layer. <IMAGE>

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von dekorativen und/oder schützenden Beschichtungen, bei dem das zu beschichtende Substrat teilweise mit einem Beschichtungsmittel beschichtet wird und auf die nicht beschichteten Teile des Substrats eine andere Oberflächenschicht aufgebracht wird. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß für die andere Oberflächenschicht ein Metallblech verwendet wird, dessen Schichtdicke zwischen der 0,1-fachen und der 5-fachen Schichtdicke der Beschichtung liegt.
