[origin: DE4217931C1] The front side and the rear side of the upper clothing piece (7) is secured from the outside by means of a grip device and by an outwardly directed movement of the grip device the clothing piece is opened on the underside. Then, the clothing piece is lowered onto the coat hanger (1) followed by a movement outwards which tensions the clothing piece rectangularly. The grip device at this stage has already released the clothing piece and then the bust is moved from below into the clothing piece and is moved so far upwardly that the coathanger is released from the clothing piece and can be drawn back. The bust with the clothing piece are then synchronously lowered and after reaching a work position with the sleeves laid out and their ends closed the clothing piece has steam applied to it. USE/ADVANTAGE - To fit an upper clothing piece with sleeve onto a coat hanger. The process occurs automatically without the intervention of operating personnel.
