- Method for grinding solid raw materials, such as ores, in which the material processed is subjected to the compressive action of a moving member able to compress this material against a bearing surface and in which two parallel compression rolls (1 and 2) of a known type are employed, rotating in opposite directions to each other, and between which the material is driven, one roll (1) being mounted on a fixed axle, the other roll (2) being mounted on a moving axle (5), remaining parallel to the first one, and this moving axle is subjected to the thrust of at least one pressing member (8, 8') and the method is further characterised in that the thrust developed by this pressing member is controlled so as to cause the pressure exerted by the moving roll on the material bearing against the roll of fixed axle to vary continuously. <IMAGE>

- Procédé de broyage de matières premières solides, tels que des minerais, dans lequel la matière traitée est soumise à l'action de compression d'un organe mobile apte à comprimer cette matière contre une surface d'appui et dans lequel on met en oeuvre deux cylindres (1 et 2) de compression parallèles, de type connu, et tournant en sens inverse l'un de l'autre, et entre lesquels la matière est entraînée, un cylindre (1) étant monté sur un axe fixe, l'autre cylindre (2) étant monté sur un axe mobile (5) en restant parallèle au premier, et cet axe mobile subit la poussée d'au moins un organe de pression (8, 8') et le procédé est en outre caractérisé en ce que on contrôle la poussée développée par cet organe de pression de façon à faire varier constamment la pression du cylindre mobile s'exerçant sur la matière en appui sur le cylindre d'axe fixe. <IMAGE>
