The invention relates to a glazing system for exterior walls of buildings, in particular for doors of industrial buildings, having at least one opening (1) for receiving a glass pane (3) in the wall (2), having in each case one rubber profile strip (4, 5) which runs around the outer edge of the glass pane (3) and of which the cross-section exhibits a bearing section (41, 51), resting by means of a bearing surface (411, 511) on the outer edge of the glass pane (3) and by means of an opposite surface (411', 511') on the inner edge of the opening (1), as well as a generally U-shaped sealing lip (42, 52) which at least partially encloses a projecting border (6) which encloses the inner edge of the opening (1) on the outside, and having a metal strip (7) which rests on the inner side (31) of the glass pane (3) and is connected to the inner edge of the opening (1) preferably by means of screws or rivets (8), the projecting border (6) exhibiting a rectangular outline with rounded corners. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verglasungssystem für Außenwände von Gebäuden, insbesondere für Türen und Tore von Industriebauten, mit mindestens einer Öffnung (1) zur Aufnahme einer Glasscheibe (3) in der Wand (2), mit jeweils einer um die Außenkante der Glasscheibe (3) umlaufenden Gummi-Profilleiste (4, 5), deren Querschnitt einen Auflageabschnitt (41, 51) aufweist, der mit einer Auflagefläche (411, 511) an der Außenkant der Glasscheibe (3) und mit einer gegenüberliegenden Fläche (411', 511') an der Innenkant der Öffnung (1) liegt, und eine allgemein U-förmige Dichtlippe (42, 52), die einen die Innenkante der Öffnung (1) außenseitig umgebenden und vorspringenden Rand (6) zumindest teilweise umgibt, und mit an der Innenseite (31) der Glasscheibe (3) anliegenden, mit der Innenkante der Öffnung (1) vorzugsweise mit Schrauben oder Nieten (8) verbundenen Metalleiste (7), wobei der vorspringende Rand (6) einen rechteckigen Umriß mit abgerundeten Ecken aufweist. Das erfindungsgemäße Verglasungssystem ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Öffnung (1) rechteckig ist, daß die Glasscheibe (3) rechteckig ist und daß die Profilleiste (4, 5) zwischen der Dichlippe (42, 52) und dem Auflageabschnitt (41, 51) eine von der Auflagefläche (411, 511) in Richtung zur gegenüberliegenden Fläche (411', 511') und nahe der Fläche (411', 511') endende Nut (43, 53) aufweist, entlang welcher die Profilleiste (4, 5) in ihrer Längsrichtung zumindest über Teilbereiche ihrer Länge auftrennbar ist. <IMAGE>
