[origin: DE4230077A1] A synthetic membrane made of a mixture of polysulphone and sulphonated polysulphone and not more than 20 % by weight of other polymers is characterized in that the mixture contains 0.5 to 8 % by weight sulphonated polysulphone, if required as a sulphonic acid salt. A process for producing this synthetic membrane is characterized in that one or several solvents are added to a mixture consisting of 0.5 to 8 % by weight sulphonated polysulphone, if required as a sulphonic acid salt, polysulphone and not more than 20 % by weight of other polymers. The mixture is dissolved into a polymer solution, said solution is formed and precipitated into a membrane in a precipitation bath by means of one or several precipitating agents.
